Welcome to Our Blog!

Hello Everyone!

Welcome to our blog! Now you will be able to read about what's going on down here in St. Peters, Missouri, see pictures and stay in the loop. Yay! (Yes, Krista is writing this...)

What's New as of 8/29/06...

There are a lot of changes and happenings in the Brown household that have taken place in the last month.

The Car Situation...
Many of you have probably gotten wind that we have had problems with Krista's car. After going to 2 different dealers, lots of testing and refilling coolant like crazy, we have confirmed that there is a problem with the head gasket. After confirming this, we decided that we would trade in Krista's car and just get a new car, since the repair would be so costly and there have been other issues with the car since 2003. Parting is such sweet sorrow... but getting a bright and shiny new '07 Camry to replace the ol' Sentra makes it a little bit easier!!!

Krista is very excited. I'm sure we'll be taking a picture of her with her new "toy" when it comes in. We needed to order it since Krista preferred a manual transmission (which no one chooses) and a color that the general population thinks makes the car look like an Easter egg! She has decided on Sky Blue Pearl and there's no budging...

Paul Moves Out...
Noah's brother Paul has moved out (finally! -- just kidding!) and back to school at SIU-Edwardsville. He is still working at Emerson Process Management and is slowly taking over the company. Well, not really... we just like to say that he is. :) He's doing well there and will be working there until the beginning of December ('06).

Paul is also getting ready to go on a trip to tour Europe with some of his college friends. We hope he has lots of fun, as we sit here back home all green with envy! Paul, you had better send pictures!!!

Noah Back In School...
Noah has started his Master's Degree. He began his first Master's class last week Monday, which he is taking online. Quite an interesting experience. Krista was curious to see how it all worked, so she sat in on the first 10 minutes -- which was mostly the professor asking his techie assistant if his microphone was on and why his face wasn't on the screen. So we heard him talking and the microphone going "pfff pffff PFFF" the whole time. They finally got their act together and before long Krista disappeared and left Noah to figure out the variables and what-not of all the crazy equations the prof was writing on the screen.

The ER Visit...
Krista was also out trimming the
bushes this past Saturday and had a fight with the electric hedge trimmer. Let's just say the trimmer won (but Krista was NOT happy about that!). Krista cut her left index finger pretty badly and needed 3 stitches at the St. Joe's ER. Her finger is doing fine and doesn't hurt at all, surprisingly. She wants a re-match with the trimmer, but Noah is a little reluctant to allow that...

Home Projects...
On another note... we may be looking at painting more rooms in the house soon. Krista may take a class at Home Depot on faux painting techniques to do the kitchen wall. Colors for the master bedroom, family room, 2nd bedroom and great room upstairs are undecided, as we need a color scheme before we start going nuts! haha We also put up a ceiling fan in the master bedroom, which we absolutely love! Now we can feel the summer breeze all year long... ahhh!

Trips...
Krista will be making the trek up to Madison on September 11th (yes, she's aware of the date) to take a training class for work at the American Family Insurance HQ. She is pretty excited about the opportunity for business travel and found out that 2 other DM Assistants will be on the same flight with her on the way up!

For all of those of you who don't know, she is trying to plan a big get-together with family while she's around. Krista will be home (in New Berlin) Friday 9/15 - Sunday morning 9/17. She'd like to get together for a bbq on that Saturday the 16th with everyone! We're thinking it will be at either one of the Schuberts'... Gordy/Gretel's or Tom/Kim's. Still ironing out the details. If she hasn't talked to you yet, let her know if you can come!

Noah may be traveling in October for another wind tunnel test through work. We're not sure of dates yet, but either way he is looking forward to another little trip for work to do something a little different.

That's about it from the Browns... another update will be coming soon!

Love "ya'll" and hope to see you soon!

Let us know what you think about the blog!

That is about it for now from us. Looking forward to seeing all the family up in Wisconsin soon!
